Ms. Kao serves as General and Litigation counsel to community associations and has been practicing in the industry since 2009. She has represented community associations of all sizes and has dealt with a whole host of association related issues. Her work includes some of the following: review of governing documents, elections (including special and recalls), contract review and negotiations, disciplinary proceedings and litigation.
Ms. Kao earned her J.D. with a certificate of specialization in intellectual property from Whittier Law School, and her B.A. in English with a minor in Chinese Language and Literature from University of California, Irvine.
Ms. Kao is professionally affiliated with: California Association of Community Managers (CACM), Community Associations Institute (CAI), Orange County Bar Association, and Orange County Asian American Bar Association. For several years, Ms. Kao served on the publications committee for CAI, and is a regular contributor for CAI's publication OC View.
