Justin Knight is an associate attorney in Berding|Weil's construction and business litigation practices. Focused on representing homeowners associations in large-scale residential projects, as well as representing single-family homeowners and commercial property owners. Defending their interests against developers, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and product manufacturers in all aspects of litigation. Justin has valued experience in successfully prosecuting claims for construction defect, professional negligence, product liability, breach of fiduciary duties. His business litigation practice includes representing corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals. Justin has prosecuted claims related to breach of contract, unfair business practices, as well as partnership disputes and dissolution. He has also frequently worked on complex insurance issues for his clients.
Prior to joining Berding|Weil, Justin litigated Title 7 defect cases, professional negligence cases, and product liability cases with a boutique construction defect litigation firm in San Francisco, where he acted as the associate attorney to cases that resulted in millions of dollars in recovery for homeowners associations in large-scale residential developments in Northern and Southern California.
Justin received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2015. Directors Scholarship based on merit. He received his B.A. from the Univerity of Colorado, Boulder in 2010.
While in law school at UC Hastings, he was Articles Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal and served as the judicial extern to the Hon. James L. Crandall of the Orange County Superior Court. Justin has previously lent his time and energies to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the United Policyholders nonprofit organization in San Francisco.
