Ms. McMahon is part of Berding|Weil's litigation department, representing common interest developments in complex construction defect and construction matters, including construction defect cases involving new construction, repair and renovation work for common interest developments.
Prior to joining Berding|Weil, Kathleen worked in criminal defense as a legal intern. After her time interning in criminal defense, she worked at a civil litigation law firm as a law clerk, where she worked on complex class action lawsuits and spent the remainder of her time working on fire cases against PG&E. Ms. McMahon helped over one hundred fire victims recover through a trust set up in place to address fire victims' claims.
Prior to starting law school, she received a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno. Ms. McMahon did her first year of law school at the University of Massachusetts School of Law Dartmouth, and then transferred to the University of San Francisco School of law, where she received her Juris Doctor in July of 2021.
