Megan is an associate at Berding|Weil focusing on the General Counsel practice, where she assists helping associations maintain compliance with their governing documents and applicable law, standardizing procedures, revising governing documents and reviewing insurance coverage and contracts.
She supports boards of directors by attending board and annual meetings and preparing documents in preparation for those meetings.
Prior to joining Berding|Weil Megan was an associate at a regional pacific northwest law firm where she was a member of the labor & employment and business litigation practice groups.
Megan graduated from Seattle University School of Law, where she was the content and development editor for the American Indian Law Journal as well as a member of the executive board for the Black Law Student Association. As a law student, Megan actively participated in mock trial competitions. As a competitor, she participated in the regional Constance Baker mock trial competition, where her team secured an invitation to the national competition. Additionally, Megan was selected to participate in the national Martin Luther King Jr. civil rights competition. Megan was the recipient of the Corporate Counsel for Women of Color scholarship as well as the King County Bar Foundation scholarship. During law school Megan served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge John R. Ruhl of the King County Superior Court.
