Fiduciary Duty Nuts and Bolts
Community Association Video Series - Part 5
Fiduciary duty – the concept that directors must act in good faith in the best interest of the corporation, and make decisions based on a consideration of the right information –is easy to say but sometimes hard to execute. Meeting the fiduciary duty standard is good for directors; it gives them a frame for a 'safe harbor' in which to operate; and it is good for the members because its compliance assures that directors will feel the pressure to do a good job.
Join Us for a Lighthearted Take on Construction Claims
Tyler, Chad and Julia will be presenting “A Funny Thing Happened on the way the Courthouse!” at the ECHO seminar on June 20, 2015. We encourage you to come and listen as we take on the unpopular and angst-provoking topic of construction claims and break it down into useful information bytes (ie., digestible meat and potatoes), with some humor along the way.
The show starts at 10:45 a.m. in the “Legal” room until Noon, and we hope you can make it. We will also be exhibiting at booths 216 and 316 before and after the presentation, and we encourage you to drop by with any questions or comments.
If you have our “save the date” postcard, bring it to our booth for a complimentary copy of our newest publication, “A Property Manager's Guide to Construction Defect Claims.” It's also available for sale on Amazon and the ECHO bookstore.
