Christopher Lewis is part of Berding|Weil's corporate and litigation team and concentrates his practice on civil litigation and community association law. He represents community associations of all sizes in matters including: review and interpretation of governing documents (e.g., voting, maintenance and repair, potential construction defect claims), contract review and vendor negotiations, disciplinary proceedings and litigation.
Prior to joining Berding|Weil, Mr. Lewis worked for an insurance defense firm in San Bruno, California, practicing in a variety of fields, including construction defect, personal injury, and real estate. While attending law school, Mr. Lewis interned at the San Mateo Superior Court as a law clerk in the legal research department. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Lewis worked in construction and program management, specializing in energy efficiency and residential construction projects.
Christopher Lewis received his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in December 2016, where he was a merit scholarship recipient and member of the Dean's List. During his time in law school, he was an active member of the student bar association as the evening program class representative. Mr. Lewis graduated with his B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 2006, where he was a member of the Dean's List.
