Berding & Weil is seeking an experienced construction defect litigator with a transactional background in real estate and Community Association Law. Must have at least 3 years of litigation experience on either plaintiff or defense side.

Candidate must be a self-starter with a high level of commitment, be well organized, and be able to handle a heavy case-load. Strong research, writing and communication skills are a must.

We expect this candidate to contribute to complex disputes from day one, including propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and briefs, attending court hearings and taking and defending depositions. Candidate will also handle mediations and arbitrations of real estate and CID disputes.

Public speaking and marketing skills are desirable.

We are seeking a full-time Junior Legal Secretary in our Walnut Creek office. Our ideal candidate has experience in document review, communication, and professional skills. We will train the right candidate to become a strong litigation legal secretary.  The Litigation Legal Secretary is responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys on a day-to-day basis, as well as working closely with clients and other team members to ensure effective and timely attention to important legal matters.

  • Draft, review and revise legal and non-legal documents including correspondence, memoranda, and pleadings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years working in an administrative setting (preferably law firm, but not required)
