Julia Hunting concentrates on all facets of construction law, from construction contracts and dispute resolution to complex construction defect litigation. She represents residential and commercial property owners and homeowners' associations in a variety of construction issues ranging from construction contracts, mechanics liens, release bonds, dispute resolution, settlement agreements, construction defect litigation and post-litigation reconstruction projects. She also assists homeowners' associations on general matters, including interpretation of governing documents and review of contracts and agreements with service providers and contractors.
Ms. Hunting was selected as a Super Lawyers Northern California Rising Star in 2015.
Prior to joining Berding | Weil, Ms. Hunting worked as a structural engineer for over 12 years at a large civil-structural engineering firm in San Francisco that provides services to the design and construction industry. She is a California licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE), and her project experience as an engineer ranges from multistory office, residential and hospital structures to retail rollouts and tenant improvements.

Ms. Hunting received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the John F. Kennedy University College of Law in 2011. She received her M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2000, and her B.S.E. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University in 1997.
