During law school, Carlotta worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable Cynthia A. Bashant of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where she gained valuable insight into litigation and judicial decision-making. She joined Berding & Weil as a law clerk during her second year of law school and has continued to grow with the firm since her admission to the California Bar.
As a member of Berding & Weil's construction defect litigation and trial team, Carlotta represents homeowners associations and business organizations throughout California in complex, high-stakes disputes against builders, developers, and general contractors. She has played a key role in securing substantial, favorable recoveries for her clients and is experienced in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Known for her strategic, results-driven approach, Carlotta regularly takes a lead role in dispute resolution proceedings and works closely with clients to navigate technically complex issues while advancing their objectives.
Carlotta received her J.D. at the University of San Diego, School of Law. She holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Philosophy with an emphasis on ethics and public policy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Magna Cum Laude.
