Carlotta Kirby is part of Berding|Weil's litigation team and concentrates her practice on civil litigation, construction defect litigation, and community association law. Carlotta also actively participates in class action lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of public agency legislation.
During law school, Carlotta worked as a law clerk for the Lee Law Group, Finkelstein & Krinsk, LLP, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Cynthia A. Bashant of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Carlotta began working as a law clerk for Berding & Weil, LLP during her third year at law school.
As extracurricular activities, Carlotta participated in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team, where she competed at the Vis Moot (East) in Hong Kong and her team was the first in the history of the University of San Diego School of Law to advance to the elimination rounds. She also participated in the tri-lingual Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C., where she received an award as second Best Orator in English.
Carlotta received her J.D. at the University of San Diego, School of Law. She holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Philosophy with an emphasis on ethics and public policy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Magna Cum Laude.
