Q

As a Construction Defect Litigator, what is your biggest focus?

A

Working with large homeowner associations (in excess of 3200 members) which operate much like cities and require legal advice on a myriad of issues  beyond those of a typical non-profit homeowners association.

Q

What strengths does your experience add to the firm?

A

Since I have many years of handling both construction defect litigation, and general counsel matters for very large homeowner associations, I consider myself a “utility player” for the firm that can lend a hand wherever needed

Q

What drew you to this line of work?

A

When I first started practicing law in the late 80's, construction defect litigation was an emerging area of the law in Southern California. This was due to the housing boom and the application of strict liability to construction defect claims. I was fascinated by this emerging area of the law.

Q

What brings you the most satisfaction on the job?

A

Knowing that others value your contribution to the overall resolution of a matter and being able to work with supportive colleagues.

Q

What do you enjoy most about working at Berding | Weil?

A

The collaborative environment which allows for innovative solutions to the complex legal issues we often encounter.

Q

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

A

Entertaining family and friends.
